Comments:
Unlike lasers on miter saws that are notoriously innacurate, this thing is dead-nuts. It has very bright dual lasers that run off of batteries or 110 volts. My drill press has a work light and the lasers don't wash out under the bright light. I had it up and running and "dialed-in" in about twenty minutes. The instructions are very clear and require you to make two adjustments on each laser to get them aligned. I found that I had to go through the alignment process twice. The first time got me close and after the second time it was perfect. Since it mounts on the column using a large hose clamp, it stays aligned no matter what you do to the table. I always had trouble aligning my bit so the hole would hit exactly where I wanted it, but this laser takes out all the guesswork. Buy this laser and you will wonder how you ever did without it. It is another great product from Steel City.

I see one problem with it, if the table is always set at the same height it would be fine. Raise or lower the table or use a different thickness of material and the cross hairs are not going to be centered with the bit. It will need to be readjusted.

Comments:
This is the perfect tool for an older woodworker whose eyesight isn't what it used to be. It takes a little while to get it adjusted just right but after it is, it's a beautiful thing. If the instructions are followed correctly, the planes of the lasers will be parallel to the quill on the drill press and will intersect at the center line of the quill. When adjusted correctly, the height of the table and the thickness of the work piece will have no influence on the accuracy of this unit.
