Coping Sleds are used to safely make those difficult small or narrow cross-grain rail cuts when you are making doors. Align your material flush with the outside edge of the sled and clamp into place with the special holding clamp. Rubber non-slip strips help securely hold your work piece in place. Run the sled along your fence until you cut into the replaceable plastic backer block which is designed to help eliminate tear out. Comments:
I have looked at a lot of Miter Sleds, but this is the best one I have found to use with the miter slot of my shaper. When I made doors, I would "white knuckle" the rail cut with a miter gauge !! Not any more. This sled works GREAT.

Comments:
It is a ok sled the clamp is nice. The problem I found with it is you better watch how tight you tighten the clamp. If you tighten it to much it will bow the bottom of the sled and can mess up your cuts.
