The Collet Extension is required to make extra deep bowls but is also useful whenever your general woodworking requires extra deep cuts. We also suggest the optional large mounting plate (#415-0503) used to support your router over the large recessed openings and our 6 oz. Porcelain Ramekins (#401-8315) to bake and serve dips, appetizers, main courses and other treats with your homemade bowls & trays. Note:To accomplish the unique smaller detail of the Spade, Club and Diamond templates, our 3/4" bowl & tray bit (#144-1205B) is required. The collet extension will not be used with this bit. Great idea but the overall size it too large. My wife and I would use it for entertaining when we play cards with friends, but 4 of them nearly take up the whole tabletop when you include 2 decks of cards and drinks. About half this size would be perfect--
