What Makes Festool Special:The Festool name is synonymous with quality and innovation in the woodworking community. It is also synonymous with a higher upfront sale price. As a Festool dealer we know that these tools are worth every penny and we want you to know why you shouldn't suffer from sticker shock and should feel very comfortable with the tool you will receive. Here are some of the many reasons why Festool power tools are so great.
System Design
The best tools, the best accessories, the best results - it all fits together. Festool sees each tool as an element in a greater system. You can benefit greatly from using their power tools individually, but you stand to benefit even more from their comprehensive approach to efficient solutions.
This is because Festool provides more than just tools - they offer integrated tool systems with a comprehensive range of well thought-out accessories. Specially developed and designed from the ground up for specific Festools, the system components provide optimum interaction and prolonged service life. They also mean less work for you, with better results.
Innovation
You can't do tomorrow's work with yesterday's tools.
Tradition is one thing. A tradition of innovation is quite another. This is the reason why Festool has been at the forefront of tool technology for over 75 years - and always with an eye on the future.
Festool is constantly developing innovative tool technologies which help users push the envelope of working technique and quality. They think in terms of specific solutions to specific problems and their tools are designed with the specific needs of the tradesman in mind. Festool's detailed knowledge of specialist trades like woodworking with cabinets and furniture, hardwood flooring, laminate flooring, solid surface fabrication and boatbuilding enables them to identify and address specific needs. Their users often tell them that they would use no other tool for their jobs, and feel as if Festool had designed their tools just for them. And of course, that's exactly what they did!
The progressive methods and highly developed technologies used in their tool development and production processes are just as innovative as the tools themselves. Beginning with the development process, CAD simulations help them optimize designs for end users.
Throughout their history Festool has produced patents, developments, technologies and tools, which have moved the industry forward. But this is not enough. They are constantly assessing what they have already accomplished, in order to turn new ideas into better, more capable, more durable, more ergonomic, safer equipment that gives you even better ROI. This is an ongoing process.
Economic Efficiency
You can do a lot with Festool. For example, you can make more money.
Festool makes a difference, not only in the shop and on the site, but also on the bottom line. Festool tools are designed for efficiency. This means that their tools offer superior workshop logistics, job times, set-up times and materials, service life, and overall return on investment.
The cost of a tool is more than just the purchase price. How fast does it get the job done? How long does the tool last? What are the workshop and on-site logistical costs? How versatile is it? How long does it take to change blades, bits and pads? How long do the consumables last, and how well do they perform? How much material can you save due to higher precision?
When you add it all up, the high quality, efficiency and long life of Festool tools gives them a real edge in the real world of professional use. Festool users find that they get more done faster, at higher quality, and that their tools keep on performing long after others have given up and quit.
This is partly a matter of design. Fast bit and blade changes reduce down time, low weight and exceptional controllability mean faster, untiring work and better results, and well thought-out accessories cut the time needed to do complex jobs. The precision of Festool tools often eliminates the need for time-consuming finishing.
It's also a matter of sheer quality. Simply put, each Festool is built to take years of daily use. They'll stay on the job - and Festool has enough confidence in it to offer a three-year warranty, longer than anyone else.
And then there are the little details, like our plug-it power cord that lets you replace the cord instantly if it gets damaged on the job. It may not happen much, but when it does you and your Festool can keep working instead of sending the tool in for repair.
Put it all together, and you'll find Festool gives you unbeatable return on investment.
Service Life
Festool tools last. Depend on it.
When you're on the job, you need tools you can depend on. And with Festool, that's what you get.
A lot of manufacturers talk about how tough their tools are, but Festool backs theirs up with a 3-year warranty. And they can only afford to do that because they know how low the chances are of you ever needing repairs on a Festool.
Festool tools regularly achieve top scores in comparison testing. There are many reasons for this: low vibration, good heat dissipation, the use of top-quality materials, careful attention to quality management - all add up to long, long service life. Festool's 3-year warranty is one of the longest in the industry.
Ergonomics
Intro: The tool should fit the person, not the other way around.
"Ergonomics" is the science of maximizing efficiency through maximizing ease of use. Since the whole idea of a tool is to make things easier, Festool has given this careful attention in designing their tools.
"Human engineering" is another term for it, and Festool engineers take it literally. That's why their tools conform so well to the human hand and the way it moves. And that's why a Festool is so easy to control for precision work, and so untiring to use, even towards the end of a long working day.
When you pick up a Festool today, you are benefiting from knowledge gained over generations of Festool human engineering and efficiency studies.
All Festools feature thoughtfully-located controls, and all controls are green for instant identification. No more fumbling around!
