The best thing about this bit was that it was the size I needed. I had attempted to purchase a carbide 2 3/8 inch bit, but the major makers did not have one. I ordered this one because it was the only one available. This item served the purpose, but just for one project. The wood I was using this bit on was very hard and toward the end of my project (drilling about thirty 2 3/8 inch holes for clocks & barometers, this bit was having a ery difficult time. If you can be happy with just a few holes, it is worth it. I'll still keep my eye out for a higher quality. John
