The wavy edge design of these hook and loop discs overhangs the pad and folds around the edge to help prevent gouging caused by the edge of the disk contacting the surface of the wood. These contour sanding discs are tear resistant cloth backed sanding media which is flexible and smoothly conforms to curves.

I make a lot of trays (using the Eagle America templates) and the wavy sanding discs make life a lot easier when finishing out the trays. I also use them for my turned bowls. My only request would be for tHem to be available in 1" and 1 1/2" sizes also.
